1 term related to home composting & recycling, explained in plain English.
What Is a Tumbling (Rotating) Composter?
A tumbling composter is a sealed drum mounted on a frame or axle that you rotate by hand, mixing the compost inside to speed up decomposition and aerate the mixture without digging it over with a fork. This makes them faster and less physical work than static compost bins, though they typically hold less volume and cost more for the same capacity.
