What Do Resistance Band Tension Levels Mean?
Resistance bands are graded by the amount of pulling force needed to stretch them, usually shown as a weight range (or colour-coded by brand) rather than an absolute standard across manufacturers. Lighter bands suit rehab, warm-ups or beginners, while heavier bands suit strength training — many sets are sold in graduated packs so resistance can increase as strength improves.
What Does Thickness (mm) Mean for Yoga Mats?
Yoga mat thickness, usually 3-6mm for general use, is a trade-off between cushioning and stability: thinner mats (around 3mm) give better balance and floor contact for standing poses, while thicker mats (5-6mm+) cushion knees and joints better for floor-based or restorative practice. Travel mats are typically thinner still, prioritising low weight and pack size over cushioning.
What is Bluetooth?
Bluetooth is a wireless technology that allows devices to connect and exchange data over short distances without needing cables. For home & garden products like fitness trackers or speakers, it means you can control them using your smartphone or tablet via a dedicated app, often for features like tracking activity or adjusting volume. It’s important to note that Bluetooth connections are susceptible to interference from other electronic devices and walls, potentially affecting range and reliability. Battery life is also influenced by continuous Bluetooth usage – heavier use will drain the device's power quicker. Consider this when assessing a product's overall usability and long-term operational needs.
